Free Scrapbooking Recipe Card– Fruity Chocolate Fudge

Digital scrapbooking freebie

Want to make something extra yummy and deliciously decadent?

Well you can’t go past this super dooper Fruity Chocolate Fudge (recipe credit to my friend Carly).

This fudge is of Willy Wonka-esque yummyness and best of all … it’s easy peasy to make.

You can download the recipe card I’ve made and print it out. It goes with the other pages in the Scraps of Mind Yummy Treats Free Scrapbooking Recipe Book. There are links to some other free scrapbooking recipe cards at the bottom of this post. So if you haven’t got your set then start clicking.

I created the background by blending two of the Garden Party Scrapbook Freebie papers together using the Color Burn blending mode. It’s well worth playing around with the blending modes when you’re creating scrapbook backgrounds I think. It adds an extra layer of depth to your layout.

And it can make a big impact to the colors too. Believe it or not the original papers I used were pink and green!  If you want to know more about blending papers together you can check out my Step by Step Digital Scrapbook Tutorial which shows you what it’s all about and how to do it.

Free Scrapbooking Recipe Book

A month ago I released the Yummy Treats Scrapbooking Recipe Book as a special gift for Mothers Day.

webcover.jpgThis is a scrapbook recipe  ebook of sweet treat recipes that have been contributed by a group of Scraps of Mind readers who created some gorgeous scrapbook layouts to present them.

The recipe scrapbook was a big success with readers as an extra gift for Mum.

It was my original intention to take the book down after Mothers Day.

But good news for all of you who missed out on your free recipe scrapbooking gift the first time around.

I’m keeping the Yummy Treats Scrapbooking Recipe Book available until the end of June. I’ll make a call then on whether to take it down or leave it available to readers for a bit longer.

So if you haven’t got your copy, or if you haven’t told your friends about it, now’s the time to jump in and download a copy and make sure your friends know about it too.

Because when I take it down it will be gone for good.

So Come and Ge-et It!!

To pick up your copy, click on one of the Download buttons below.

I’ve packaged it in two formats.

  • The Quick and Easy format is a PDF file which you can print out onto paper or photo card.
  • Alternatively, if you want a better quality finish. All the pages are available in separate high resolution JPG files. Print them out individually onto good quality photo card and assemble your book by slipping them into clear plastic pockets (wait until the ink is totally dry first), or punching holes in one side. You can then put them into a slim binder and adhere the cover page to the front.

If you want to get the PDF ebook PLUS all the High Quality files then use this Download button. The zip file is 30 Mb.

webcover.jpgI’ve been talking about this project for the last month or so. I think it’s a great scrapbook idea. And a number of Scraps of Mind readers contacted me and said that they wanted to be a part of it.

Although quite a few were not able to submit a layout (I guess life got in the way, as it so often can), we do have enough to make this slimline exclusive volume. And I wanted to get it out to you before Mothers Day.

I think it looks pretty cool.

Chocolate and Potato Cake

Yep! That’s one of my submissions to the Scraps of Mind Yummy Treats Recipe Scrapbook.

And if you think it sounds gross, I’m here to tell you that you are so wrong. It is delicious.

chocolate-and-potato-cake.jpg

My niece Rebecca made it for her birthday party last Friday and it is absolutely decadent. Especially with the ganache topping and all those berries piled on top.

And if you want to try it yourself, you’ll have to stay tuned to Scraps of Mind for the Yummy Treats Recipe Scrapbook which I’ll be launching in the next couple of weeks.

Some of the submissions are still to arrive in my mail box. So if you are going to be a part of this book, then you’d better get your skates on and get me a yummy sweet treat recipe scrapbooking layout before the end of this week. I can probably manage to stretch the deadline out a few days to Friday but I’ll need to be working on putting the book together so I can’t take any layouts after that.

So jump on board if you haven’t already done so. And get your favourite sweet treat recipe scrapbooked and immortalized in a great cooking ebook.
