Word Art 101

Back in the day I used to write a weekly newsletter where I would send out free word art designs for you to use in your scrapbook layouts or your cards.

My Word Art tended to be quite eclectic, on many different topics but it was very much in my own style.

Since then I’ve had lots of enquiries about Word Art and whether I’ll be doing any more.

I probably will but until I do here’s some free word art from the archives for you to download.

And when you’re done, maybe you’d like to have a go at making your own.

Scroll down to the end and watch a short video that I made showing you how you can make your own Word Art.

Click on the Word Art to open the full size PNG file and then save it to your computer. That way you’ll get the high resolution version and not just the web sized image.

Free Word Art and Scrapbooking Quotes for Spring

Digital Scrapbook Freebie time again

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere then you’re probably celebrating the arrival of Spring by now. We in the Southern half of the globe are settling into Autumn of course, and in Australia we managed to dispense with Summer altogether this year; especially in the southern states.

Anyhoo, let’s stay focussed on Spring. I’m looking forward to coming over to Europe in a few weeks to sample some of your northern Spring weather. So if any of you have influence in high places, please put in a good word for excellent weather throughout May across the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands and Northern Italy.

And to help things along and set the mood here are some Spring quotes for your scrapbook layouts and cards. And some word art digital scrapbooking freebies for you too. Just right mouse click on the word art image and select Save File As… or Save Target As…

Hope you enjoy them.

Spring has come when you can put your foot on three daisies.

Step by Step Digital Scrapbook
The digital scrapbooking site that ‘s designed especially for beginners.
Create wonderful art works from your photos quickly and easily on your computer.
No mess, no special workspace needed, no cleaning up.

Come and Ge-et it!

Come and get your Yummy Treats Scrapbooking Recipe Book, that is

webcover.jpgI’ve been talking about this project for the last month or so. I think it’s a great scrapbook idea. And a number of Scraps of Mind readers contacted me and said that they wanted to be a part of it.

Although quite a few were not able to submit a layout (I guess life got in the way, as it so often can), we do have enough to make this slimline exclusive volume. And I wanted to get it out to you before Mothers Day.

I think it looks pretty cool.

To pick up your copy, click on one of the Download buttons below and treat yourself to some recipe scrapbooking goodies.

I’ve packaged it in two formats.

  • The Quick and Easy format is a PDF file which you can print out onto paper or photo card.
  • Alternatively, if you want a better quality finish. All the pages are available in separate high resolution JPG files. Print them out individually onto good quality photo card and assemble your book by slipping them into clear plastic pockets (wait until the ink is totally dry first), or punching holes in one side. You can then put them into a slim binder and adhere the cover page to the front.

If you want to get the PDF ebook PLUS all the High Quality files then use this Download button. The zip file is 30 Mb.

If you just want the PDF ebook then use this Download button. The PDF file is 3.13 Mb.

There are some very fun recipes in the book and it might be nice to bake one of them for your Mum on Mothers Day to go with the book.

Thank you to all those who participated. You can see who they are in the credits at the back of the book.

You came up with some stunning scrapbook layouts and some super Yummy Treat Scrapbooked Recipes.

All the scrapbook layouts in the Yummy Treats  Recipe Scrapbook  have been digitally scrapbooked. Are you a digital scrapbooking newbie or maybe a paper scrapbooker/card maker who would like to try digital scrapbooking but are a bit concerned about the learning curve?

Well click over to Step by Step Digital Scrapbook. This site offers an a-la-carte menu of digital scrapbooking tutorials to show you all the tips and techniques you need to create your own recipe scrapbooking masterpieces.
